In this post I am going to show you what insect food products are currently available online and sometimes even in the supermarkets!
You may have heard about an insect food product on the internet or even on your supermarket shelves? Maybe you even saw a sign “edible insects for sale” somewhere!
As the trend rapidly increases, more and more companies are putting products out there that contain insects. And in this post I want to show you the breadth and depth of products we have seen.
The following will show you a list of food with insects. I have included such information as:

The Bux Burger is a high-quality principle meal solution with great nutty flavour. 43% Buffalo worms (alphitobius diaperinus) and selected vegetarian ingredients form a clean label product without any artificial additives.
In its burgers, Essento has combined mealworms with carrots and rice, and spices such as chili and oregano. Essento’s meatballs, made from mealworm larvae, are being sold at select Coop locations in Switzerland.
As you can see from this amazing list of insect food products, there are a huge variety of products, producers and ingredients already out there on the market.
And all of this is taking place despite the lack clarity on the actual state of legislation in most western countries. Although this may change when the EU makes their ruling later this year.
